topic: cleaning out my travel bags in preparation for the next trip.
[ something i never do ]
... and here is some of the uninteresting crap i found:

subscription card insert and fashion bayern germany sticker map of the koln u-bahn und s-bahn

that would be model brent king on a subscription card for details magazine. i found it in a stack of old books and miscellaneous magazines at a friend's house while visiting london.
next: a bumper sticker from the free state of bavaria (friestaat bayern, southern germany) that i just happen to have from a tacky tourist trip with motherfigure in 2002 but will never use... but you never know as it may come in handy for something... and then a map of the rail system in koln, germany.

university professor business card cambodian fast boat receipt

business card: i met patricia on a train trip from munich to berlin. it was one of those dreary, yet too bright november days and i desperately needed to doze for the long journey up north. patricia boarded the train, immediately started nastily barking insults to the stoic german passengers, plopped down across from me into her seat, and proceeded to lecture everyone on the racial oppression she has faced throughout her entire life. not only is she black, but she is a woman and feels she will be seen as never having amounted to anything, she said, even though she has earned the title of doctor and holds a respectable position in a university- note the three other degrees listed on the business card. it is always good to know another outspoken doctor with foreign university connections. on the right is a ticket stub receipt for the five hour long and constantly overcrowded fast boat trip which sails between siem reap and phnom penh in cambodia along and across the tonle sap.

photograph of anton corbijn in manchester. art gallery invitation

i love this photo. if you can squint enough, you might make out a name printed on the window advertising an exhibit. this photo is of an extraordinary photographer in manchester snapping a rather normal photograph of his own achievement, much like any one of us would do.
next, an invitation to a photography exhibit by danny clinch at the govinda gallery in washington d.c.

crossword puzzle unscanned photographs huge depeche mode bumper stickers from kroq

then i found a los angeles times crossword puzzle with lots of nice words and phrases angrily scrawled along the page, an assortment of photographs (me holding a cat, the copenhagen waterfront, cappadocia, the beginning of the watercolor painting which hangs in my home, a soapy irish travelmate doing laundry in the sink in larnaca cyprus, my brother in motocross gear, a danish sports fan reading a newspaper article about the world cup match against england, my brother at a motocross race, and morten from the norwegian band a-ha) that i should scan into the computer... and what's this? radio station kroq 106.7 fm's depeche mode bumper stickers from their anaheim california show at the pond in 2001.

tourist attraction, hole in the rock, north island, new zealand new zealand sheep blocking the road

these are two push processed photographs i took in new zealand that i thought were lost forever:
left: the hole in the rock on the north island, taken while hanging on to a boat and sailing in the bay of islands.
right: sheep blocking the road on the south island, taken from the front windshield of my rental car.

map of london mototaxi contact information

a free map of london, obtained on arrival at heathrow airport.
if you ever need contact information for a mototaxi driver, or to hire a guide in cambodia
use mr. maradi as he is extremely safety oriented and comes highly recommended from me.
i paid him three dollars for the afternoon, which he insisted was too much
but he drove me everywhere i wanted to go around phnom penh
even out past the suburbs to the killing fields of choeng ek.

nin sticker another blogger sent me a postcard

nine inch nails bumper sticker received at their dress rehearsal at grand olympic auditorium before their 2000 tour started... and even though sent in care of an associate of mine and sent to an address which no longer exists, i occasionally get blogger postcards and snail mail.

a newspaper from cambodia i was a sars risk having visited south east asia many times last year.

i bought the phnom penh post, which is an english language newspaper in cambodia, to read during a bus trip from phnom penh to a sihanoukville beach destination. it cost an expensive $3. the bus ticket between the two cities cost $3. my en suite guest house room with a fan in sihanoukville cost $3 a night. right photo: minister of health card from south east asia. my mom is still annoyed that i didn't get sars and die while visiting singapore and malaysia. later in the year when i returned to try again and she swore i would succumb- well i showed her.

london underground fare receipts kroq fm bumper stickers

old london underground fare stubs, what appears to be even more kroq fm radio station bumper stickers, and below is a ticket stub someone gave me from super bowl xxii and then something else.. no idea. the ticket says 'baht' so it must be a recent receipt from a bus trip from the cambodian border at trat to bangkok.

superbowl ticket your best guess, possibly a bus ticket receipt from thailand
